Abstract

The exit of Great Britain from the European Union (Brexit) is considered one of the most important political, legal, economic and social challenges of the first decades of the 21st century. The first phase of the negotiations hardly would progress. However, after six rounds of negotiations an agreement has finally been signed between the prime minister of the United Kingdom and the president of the European Commission, sealing future commitments and confirming the progress that may allow the opening of negotiations on the second phase of the Agreement, which is the fundamental one, since it will resolve the commercial relationship and, consequently, the relationship it will maintain with the European Union. This article includes a prediction of the economic consequences of the divorce and the priorities of the Spanish Government.
