Abstract

Witnesses have express legal obligation to appear in case of summons, testify and tell the truth, if they violate these obligations may be pursued, respectively, on charges of obstruction of justice, grave disobedience to authority or perjury. In the present study we analyze the elements that require each of these offenses, taking aim at reaching criteria for distinguishing clearly and sharply typical behaviors characteristic of these crimes, all in the interest of completeness required in criminal matters.
