This work addresses the understanding of the exequatur as one of the key instruments for legal cooperation between States, in a globalized world in its current economic design, to which we will also have to add the existence of Spaces of political and economic integration, such as it is currently the European Union, with the free movement of people and goods that it entails, so that, in order to grant effective international judicial protection, cooperation between States is essential.
