Blockchain technology and electronic contracting: critical points of integration of the so-called smart contracts in our contract law system

This paper proposes the analysis of two realities that are bound to be understood in an absolutely harmonious way: the powerful new technologies, personified for the purposes sought in the blockchain and the so-called smart contracts; and the system of contract law, that is inserted in our legal system that so many changes have been experimenting to adapt reliably to the contemporary social reality and the problems that develops in its scope material. It is a question of exposing, quickly, the first of these aspects in order to check, later, if it has a peaceful connection with the second and its imperative normative force. Also, a consideration will be given to the need to adapt this complex set of rules to technological innovations, given that they will lead to the phenomenon of recruitment by making use of them and their advantages, ensuring that they do not facilitate abuse or dereliction.
