Through this paper we try to expose the resolutions adopted by the Council of Finance Ministers from the EU, at its meeting of June 8, 2010, on measures that seek to combat fraud and tax evasion, as well as against harmful tax competition at European level. Such resolutions include measures against VAT fraud in cross-border transactions, the promotion of the work of the Group's code of conduct against harmful tax competition in the EU and with regard to third countries such as Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and the coordination of principles on anti-abuse clauses on controlled foreign companies and thin capitalization.
