Abstract

In recent years, various groups of researchers hired through external funding have requested that their host universities and public research centers grant them the salary increases stipulated in the corresponding budgetary regulations, under the same terms as those provided for other staff working at these institutions. In this context, the Supreme Court Ruling 503/2026, of May 26, addresses the claim filed by Ramón y Cajal researchers affiliated with various catalan public universities, ruling that this group of researchers is not entitled to the aforementioned salary increases.
