Abstract

The Spanish Civil Code stated, before the Reform by Law 15/2015, that people who wanted to marry and were affected by deficiencies, had to be examined by a physician, and was issued a medical opinion about the marriage agreeing (art. 56.2 Civil Code).

This article has been modified by the said Law, which enter into force specific date Juny 30 2017, suppressing the legislator the notion «psychic anomalies», replacing «mental, inteletive or sensory deficiencies», however maintaining the medical opinion requirement in order the marriage agreeing aptitude, so that marriage were validly contracted.
