Más allá de las prácticas de conciliación. El rol del supervisor en la reincorporación al trabajo tras la maternidad en Europa

La reincorporación de la mujer al trabajo tras el nacimiento de un hijo o hija es un tema relevante para la trayectoria vital y profesional de esta, instalándose como tema central en los debates sobre igualdad de género. Si bien las prácticas de conciliación orientadas a la reincorporación tras la maternidad son determinantes para el bienestar laboral de la mujer debido a las exigencias del momento, pueden volverse en su contra, porque, en ocasiones, desde las propias organizaciones que las ofrecen, el hecho de acogerse a ellas es interpretado como una falta de compromiso hacia su empresa, lo que redunda en un obstáculo más a su progreso en la carrera profesional.
Ante tal realidad, se plantea el análisis de la importancia del apoyo del supervisor como complemento de carácter humano a la adopción formal de prácticas de conciliación de la vida laboral y personal por parte de la empresa, cuestión no investigada en la literatura previa. Los resultados alcanzados sugieren que un apoyo real y efectivo a la mujer, para que esta pueda conciliar su vida laboral y personal tras la maternidad, requiere que las organizaciones acentúen la relevancia del factor humano frente a las prácticas formales de recursos humanos.
