Abstract

This article describes the most important contents of ILO Convention 190 and Recommendation 206 on violence and harassment at work and assesses its possible impact on Spanish labour law in the event that the convention was ratified. In particular, the single concept of violence and harassment and the possibility and desirability of differentiated concepts; the personal and spatial scope of the convention; violence and harassment in the application of occupational safety and health standards; company policies on violence and harassment at work and the role of public authorities in promoting, inspecting and monitoring enforcement and resolving disputes before courts.
