Abstract

The work presented below is an unpublished research, in which various proposals are made to address the serious problem of sustainability and adequacy of pensions in the future. Solutions are sought based on the phenomenon of population aging and the low birth rate. To this end, regulations have been scrutinized by the various EU states, in particular Spain and Portugal, reaching a series of conclusions and proposals that minimize the risk of pensions, where they play a predominant role The policies of active aging, as well as the pure compatibility or on a smaller scale, the shared enjoyment between the pension and the professional activity, aspects that constitute the fundamental of the present analysis.
