This paper analyses the Spanish and European regulation for the different types of transnational posting of workers in the framework of the provision of services. Particular attention is paid to the controversial treatment of this issue by the Court of Justice and to the reforms incorporated by Directive 2014/67 in order to enforce the Directive 96/71. Finally, this document incorporates a minimum overview of the current situation of the Proposal for a directive amending Directive 96/71 paying special attention to the principle of equal pay for equal work in the same country, as well as the treatment of long-duration travel.
