Abstract

The contemporary work environment, characterized by its fast-paced nature, demands continuous efforts to enhance both productivity and creativity among workers. In this context, this article examines the impact of the so-called "third spaces", environments that lie in an intermediate point between home and office, fostering collaboration and innovation. Through a survey and a qualitative comparative analysis of fuzzy sets (fsQCA), it investigates how these informal spaces influence communication, creativity, and work effectiveness. The results underscore the importance of resource availability, environmental comfort, and the promotion of collaboration to fully leverage these areas. This study provides a detailed understanding of third spaces and their potential to stimulate innovation and economic growth across various sectors and communities.
