Abstract

Scientific literature highlights the importance of creativity, both on the evaluation of major projects and on any management decision, since it affects workers. They are the people who work every day in the company to determine the success or failure of organizations.

Due to the nature of creativity, approaches must be analyzed at the individual level. At present, the stress levels in workers, job dissatisfaction with the status quo and conflicts are on the rise. Stressful work leads to emotional responses and therefore could mitigate the desire to be creative. The inclusion of these variables is necessary to predict creativity and therefore innovation. Analyzing within the company can minimize the causes of stress, dissatisfaction and conflict to attenuate the reduction of individual and creative performance. Even some individuals may interpret negative situations as challenges and be motivated. Therefore individual characteristics could favor proactive behaviors such as emotional intelligence and feedback from colleagues analyzed.
