France has just adopted the law of 2 August 2021 aimed at strengthening occupational health prevention. The ambition of the legislator, but also of the Government, is to "make France one of the most successful and innovative countries in Europe in the field of occupational health prevention". To achieve this, the law consolidates the "occupational risk assessment document", strengthens the role of occupational health services, creates measures to combat social and professional exclusion and decompartmentalises occupational health and public health. However, while these objectives are stimulating, the content of the law seems to adopt a new paradigm for French occupational health policy and must also be careful not to over individualise the relationship with occupational health.
