Abstract

This paper analyzes the V Agreement standalone solution of labor disputes (court system), noting, in turn, the most important developments in relation to its predecessor (IV Agreement), to define the one hand, its purpose and conflict affected, territorial and temporal scope, nature and legal effect. Furthermore, when considering the legal nature and functions of the Service Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration, operation and appointment of mediators and arbitrators. Finally, when analyzing the common rules of procedures for conflict resolution, especially the process of mediation and arbitration, in which addresses persons authorized to request mediation and arbitration, request mediation and arbitration, action of mediators and arbitrators, completion of mediation, specific procedure in cases of strikes and effectiveness of the arbitration award.
