Employment policies and pensions in the European Union and its impact on the Spanish reforms

Some years ago, the Union European (EU) States have begun to implement important parametric reforms in the management of the pension systems and singularly in retirement and that are required, among other reasons, by the aging of the population and the impact that will resulte in the pension systems the arrival of the baby boom generation. In this process reformer, has generated a broad consensus on the importance of the maintenance of employment of older workers, so much so, that it depends on the effectiveness of the reforms of the retirement and their impact on the viability and sustainability of pension systems.
The institutions of the EU have not only seen with clarity the problems posed by both materials –employment and pensions, and its important effects in all areas, but have decided to act in parallel and drive the reforms through the implementation of the Open Method of Coordination (OMC).
All of these aspects are analyzed in this work in a temporary space that concludes with the White Paper (EU-2012), to finally come to reflect the footprint of the recommendations and objectives of the EU in the Spanish reformist policy, particularly in employment and pensions to enter their impact on the Law 27/2011 and the Strategy 55 and more.
