Abstract

The Supreme Court ruling 689/2025, of July 3, is part of the significant litigation that has arisen in recent years regarding the recognition of certain teaching and research staff, and especially part-time associate professors, of the right to have their teaching and research activities assessed and, if they pass this assessment, to acquire and consolidate the financial benefits for teaching (five-year periods) and research (six-year periods) merits provided for in this regard.
