This work aims to take a tour through reflection and critique of what has meaning and involved the new European Economic Governance (EEG) on industrial relations systems and european social protection, with special focus on Spain. After an analysis of the main elements that make up the EEG, the article focuses on its influence on the mechanisms of collective bargaining, employment and working conditions and social protection systems.
