Responsabilidad hacia la plantilla y sostenibilidad medioambiental: ¿dos caras de la misma moneda?

Resumen

En los últimos años, el concepto de «responsabilidad social corporativa hacia los empleados» (RSCE) ha adquirido una importancia creciente, tanto en la investigación académica como en la práctica empresarial. Este concepto incluye aquellas políticas de recursos humanos dirigidas a mejorar la satisfacción y bienestar de la plantilla. En este artículo, damos un paso adelante en la investigación sobre la RSCE al examinar su relación con la sostenibilidad medioambiental o innovación ecológica. Además, para arrojar luz sobre la relación entre la RSCE y la sostenibilidad medioambiental, introducimos algunas variables explicativas como el compromiso organizativo y la capacidad de aprendizaje organizativo. Estas relaciones se probaron mediante un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales en una muestra de 300 empresas del sector turístico. Los resultados revelan una relación positiva entre ambas, por lo que la RSCE puede ser entendida como una vía novedosa para incrementar la sostenibilidad medioambiental.

Sus líneas de investigación se centran en conceptos como la confianza en las empresas, el bienestar, el altruismo, el aprendizaje organizativo, entre otros. Sus trabajos se centran en un enfoque alternativo de dirección de recursos humanos basado en un modelo de empresa que apuesta por el bienestar, la innovación y la sostenibilidad.
