The main objective of this study is to explore the working conditions (face-to-face vs. teleworking) during the period of home confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spanish workers and its impact on aspects related to people management in organizations (corporate social responsibility towards employees, labor resources, commitment to the organization and work performance). Using a three-stage longitudinal design, a total of 394 workers answered the online questionnaire. The results showed that those workers who were able to perform total or partial teleworking perceived higher levels of corporate social responsibility towards employees on the part of their company, greater labor resources and greater organizational commitment in comparison with workers who worked in person or whose organization did not provide them with the possibility of teleworking. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed in the study aimed at shedding light on the benefits and future challenges of considering the extensive use of telework at the national level as a practice linked to achieving greater corporate social responsibility towards employees, improved labor resources and commitment to the organization without detriment to their job performance.
