Abstract

The economic situation we live since the past two years has cast doubt on not only the existing monetary and financial structures, but also the Western regimes of industrial relations, especially those, such as Spanish, in which the effects of the crisis have showed greater virulence. As a result, it has been confirmed the urgency of reforms within production systems, recovering an exceptional role the concept of flexicurity, whose lines of action have been considered a solution to remedy all the problems of the Spanish industrial relations model and have served as an essential source of inspiration in the recently adopted Government Decree 10/2010 of 16th June, of urgent measures to reform the labour market. The issue shows significance and a great complexity, because there is not a single route and the various propositions are complementary, not mutually exclusive. The challenge is how to fit all the pieces of the puzzle to reach the best scenario as soon as possible.
