Abstract

Royal Decree 625/2014, July 18, which regulates certain aspects of the management and control processes for temporary disability in the first 365 days of its duration, established a new regulation for certain areas management and control of the economic provision of the Social Security, in turn, affects the field of business, as the temporary disability involves suspending the employment relationship, with the maintenance of the obligation to contribute Social Security.
One of the more fundamental changes introduced by the Royal Decree 625/2014 has affected mainly to the issuance of the medical reports of low and high-confirmation, with the aim of maintaining the accuracy of the observation illness or injury of workers and its impact on their ability to do the job, that reduce red tape, by adapting the frequency on the issue of the parties to the estimated duration of each process, in order to achieve control more effective use of temporary disability, eliminating defects and unnecessary bureaucratic «red tape». According to these purposes, the Order ESS/1187/2015 June 15 (which is published in the Official Gazette on June 20) develops the provisions of Royal Decree 625/2014 and approves the new models of medical parts finding temporary disability.
