Public employees are entitled to get effective protection in the area of safety and health at work and, therefore, both Law 31/1995, of 8 November, on the Prevention of Occupational Hazards, as well as its different development standards are implemented in the field of administrative or statutory relations of the personnel in public administrations, considering the differences subject to regulation or legal form. The same was initially done with Royal Decree 1488 /1998, of 10 July, for the General State Administration. Subsequently, Royal Decree 67/2010, of 29 January, was published in order to repair the shortcomings of the previous regulatory standards and to improve the effectiveness of the preventive action of the mentioned Administration. This study aims to tackle the new legal regime for the adjustment of the legislation in occupational risk prevention to the General State Administration, highlighting the differences derived from the precedent regulatory standard.
