La flexibilidad de los recursos humanos como una variable mediadora entre la gestión por alto compromiso y los resultados organizativos

En la literatura sobre dirección de los recursos humanos han aparecido durante las últimas décadas numerosas investigaciones que han demostrado la influencia de la gestión por alto compromiso (GAC) sobre los resultados organizativos. Más recientemente, está comenzando a emerger una nueva generación de estudios en este campo que recomienda la introducción de variables mediadoras entre la GAC y los resultados con el fin de clarificar las causas o mecanismos por los que se produce dicha influencia. En este sentido, la elevada tasa de dinamismo en los entornos competitivos actuales sugiere la necesidad de considerar variables relacionadas con la flexibilidad de los empleados como un posible mecanismo que explica la relevancia que tiene la GAC para la competitividad empresarial. A partir de una muestra de 226 empresas españolas, nuestro trabajo confirma que la GAC influye en los resultados a través del impacto de la primera sobre la flexibilidad de los recursos humanos.
